WHY TEENAGERS SEEM MORE AGGRESSIVE NOW THAN BEFORE

Since the 1990's until now, reality programming on TV, cell phones, video games and the internet have changed the way kids relate to and perceive the world. Parents have had less of an influence because of all the external distractions kids are faced with. Movies and TV shows are less about good behavior and more about getting away with spouting off, to cyberbullying your friends as a joke, to anything that creates a big reaction--good or bad. The role models today, from sports figures to actors, from entertainers to models, are often shown to be shallow and hedonistic. In short, there is not that "village" to help raise a child in a community anymore and kids don't know which way to go. This causes teens to feel more defensive and less secure, and therefore to react more aggressively.  Please leave your thoughts below... -SKS
